2023 Hyundai Tucson | Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview

Hyundai has entered the compact SUV market with the new Hyundai Tuscon, and they’ve made a good impression on us. This SUV is practical, beautiful to look at, loaded with the latest technology, and has excellent value for money. What more could it possibly have to offer us? The 2023 Hyundai Tucson in Brandon, MB, might exceed your expectations this time. Let’s have a look below at what it really offers.

Performance

Powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, producing 187 hp. On the other hand, the hybrid is equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 226 total combined hp.

The petrol engine has an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid has a six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid has a smooth drive with precise steering. The plug-in Hybrid can drive up to 53km on battery power, while the petrol options have a 9.9L/100km rating for city driving and 7.1L/100km for highway driving. The 1.6L engine does 0-100km/h in around eight seconds.

Interior and Comfort

By category, this car is defined as a compact SUV, but it has more space than most of its competitors in the same category. The interior is roomy and comfy enough for five adults. You can also easily fit a rear-facing car seat and still sit comfortably.

There’s 1,095L of cargo space which can be increased by folding down the rear seats. The front seats have a six-way manual adjustment, and the rear seats come with the heating on the Limited model. Seat covering options range from cloth to synthetic leather, and a panoramic sunroof can be added on most models, which gives the cabin more light.

Infotainment

There are two screen size options, the 20.32cm screen has scroll wheels for volume, and the 26cm is a touchscreen. The 20.32cm screen is compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the 26cm only has a wired option. We hope this will be upgraded in the following models. There’s wireless charging on higher trims.

Safety

Smart cruise control with stop and go comes standard on all models, while blind-spot monitoring and the surround-view camera system are available only on the higher-end trims. ABS and brake assist, including side airbags, are available on all models.

Trim Levels and Prices

Four main trim levels have the conventional petrol engine: SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited. The Hybrid comes in three trim levels: Blue Hybrid, SEL Convenience Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid.

The petrol version is available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, while the Hybrid only has an all-wheel drive option. The base model starts at $30,954, while the N-Line model starts at $40,954.
