There are two different powertrain options available for the 2025 Santa Fe. The SUV comes standard with a Smartstream 2.5L Turbocharged GDI engine, with an 8-speed Dual Clutch transmission. It provides a solid 277 horsepower to help you handle whatever outing the family is setting out on. You can also opt for the 1.6L Turbocharged GDI hybrid engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. It offers only 231 horsepower, but significantly improved fuel economy so you need to fuel up less.
Towing Power
The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe may be a modern design, but it’s still got that old-school SUV grit underneath the hood. A properly equipped Santa Fe with the standard 2.5L gas engine provides 311 lb.ft. of torque, allowing it to tow up to 3,500 lbs. If that’s not enough, the XRT trim includes a tow mode which increases that capacity to 4,500 lbs!
